RWBY: Remnant Remade
Marissa for Supreme General James Ironwood
[MINOR ROLE]
Atlas was always a highly militaristic state even before the Great War, but after its isolation from the world, the title of "Supreme General" grew beyond its original scope. At first, it referred to the military's commander-in-chief, but now its bearer is the absolute and unquestionable head of state of the entire Kingdom. James Ironwood is the sixth and youngest holder of the title in Atlas' young history, and he displays even more wholehearted dedication to his duties and to the laws of the Lex Atlantis than his predecessors. A firm believer in the need for his Kingdom's isolation, Ironwood seeks to make it clear that none may leave Atlas - not even the SDC, whose influence he is slowly trying to unravel from his state. Though, with their claws sunken so deep in every facet of the state's existence, from the life of everyday citizen to the whole state's economy, he is forced to play by their rules - and yet he perseveres, even if it means going to lengths even his predecessors didn't dare reach.
Character Profile: Ironwood is a serious, precise and commanding individual, befitting his role as the bastion of Atlas' value. He follows the laws of the Lex Atlantis to the absolute letter and holds them to the highest level of respect, being furious every time he sees them being bent or ignored - most often than not, by his nemesis Jacques Schnee. In fact, as much as he acknowledges his industry's purpose in Atlas, James utterly despises the SDC for their monopoly over the Kingdom's economic sphere thanks to their vast, overseas Dust mines - mines he feels are in violation of the Lex Atlantis despite them being legally protected in the same document - giving them access to by far the largest supply of the substance in all of Atlas. He seeks to dislodge their hold over his kingdom instead of staying silent like his predecessors, and will go to any length the law allows him to reach to do so.
What we are looking for: A responsible and serious adult voice, with a slow and methodical speech pattern. He is formal and collected, without the forced elegance of Jacques Schnee, and keeps his emotions in check with superior grace compared to his rival. He has an authoritative voice that reveals no weaknesses, and he never raises his voice beyond what is strictly necessary.

(Serious and focused) "Ask yourself this: do you honestly believe your children can win a war?"
(Cold and threatening, but not emotional) "I'm going to give you one chance. Who's really behind all this?"
(With a hint of pride in his voice) "When they look to the sky and see my fleet, they feel safe, and our enemies will feel our strength."
