Mac Gargan, initially a private investigator, fell into a criminal spiral after being hired by J. Jonah Jameson to uncover Spider-Man's identity. Frustrated, Gargan accepted an offer from Dr. Farley Stillwell for an experimental procedure, financed by Jameson, transforming him into the Scorpion with enhanced abilities. The process, however, plunged him into madness. The Scorpion suit, designed by Stillwell, became permanently bonded, making Scorpion a rageful foe for anyone who crossed paths with him. His deep, gravelly voice, filled with malice and simmering anger, becomes distorted and mechanical in his Scorpion persona. Gargan's vocal presence, alternating between low growls and explosive rage, instills fear, establishing his dominance.
