Seedent is Anemone's biological mother, but she essentially mothered all of the kids. She is Chief Steward in charge of the children's creche and the kitchens. The children of the colony were raised communally so Auntie Seedent knows every kid by name and cares for them deeply. She is gentle, caring, loving, and the picture of the stereotypical housewife. This however causes tension between Anemone and Seedent as Anemone gets older. She worries as a mother should, but that just feels to Anemone that she's overbearing. To others though, Seedent remains caring and unbothered.
