Hi ALL Voice Actors!!!

We are looking for a talented and dedicated voice actor for our History Documentary Channel - "Beginning to Now" - https://www.youtube.com/@BeginningToNoww/featured

As our project grows rapidly, the need for quicker turnaround times for the voiceover increases. Therefore, we are looking for an extra voice actor.

Our scripts are typically 30,000 words long !! This means that the voiceover will typically be 3hrs+.

This will be a long-term gig, therefore, we are looking for someone dedicated and willing to work. You MUST be able to complete 2-3 scripts a month. (Some months more some less)

Another Important Aspect of the narration is Pronunciation. As these are history documentaries, there are a lot of names/places, and events that are difficult to pronounce.

You are required to research the correct pronunciation as some things will be pronounced differently from what they are spelled like. For example some places in the UK - Thames, Leicester.. You get the point

YouTube comments don't hold back. 😂 (seriously)

Now for what we are looking for. We are looking for someone similar to our current voice actor. We don't want to confuse viewers.

- American (sorry brits)
- Cinematic
- Tone/Delivery Changes during different events. (not robotic)

Now i can try to describe it more however i think giving an example is the best way. Sift through this Audio during different parts to get an understanding.

Now regarding pay. The rate is from 0.008 USD per word to 0.01 USD per word. This equates to around $ 300 USD per script. An exact rate will be discussed once you are hired.

Below i will supply some Audition Lines. They are longer than typical Auditions, however when the scripts are so long,

we want to get an understanding of your voice for more than 10 seconds. The last audition is from a different topic.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Excited to see your auditions!!

  • To truly understand how Rome came to dominate the ancient world, we must first start at the beginning. Before the Eternal City was ever clad in marble and stone, Rome was just an insignificant little settlement on the banks of the River Tiber. Human activity in the region actually dates back to around 1700 BC, but our story doesn’t begin until the late 8th century, when the various settlements, tribes and villages that already called the Capitoline Hill their home unified, becoming a city-state and adopting the name: Rome.

  • What followed was a series of treason trials, every bit as ruthless as those of the Mad Emperors before him. Domitian silenced even his mildest critics and Senatorial opposition to the Emperor grew with every baseless execution… In the end, Domitian was assassinated on the 18th of September, 96 AD, in his own palace by court officials who had plotted against him. The Emperor of Rome was unceremoniously cremated and his memory condemned to oblivion, ending the Flavian Line of Rome.

  • Li Yuan couldn’t bear to witness the rivalry of his sons, and informed Li Shimin that he would be dividing the empire into two halves to avoid further conflict. Li Shimin was promised the rule of the Eastern half, which he protested, but it was no use. His stubborn father had already made up his mind. The division failed to quell the rivalry. In the West, Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji continued plotting the murder of Li Shimin.

CCC isn´t the end of the world. Not the beginning either. What is impressing us all, I think, is the possibility of hearing the others...good and bad, strong and strange...hahaha

        CarsonMcCamyVO

Haha I agree. And no CCC is just where I go if I get an animation itch. Most of the talent gets cast for these projects off site anyway, which is tragic because I do actually see a lot of talented VAs here

Never heard it, 5 years on CCC, what off site page that was! How comes? I asked Chief Bufford if some guys are fakeing us and off site is a farce, not to pay the VA´s here. No answer. Maybe he didn´t wanna understand my p.o.v.? Do you? :D

            CarsonMcCamyVO

I do understand! And when I say “off site” I’m just saying they’re hiring talent for projects from sites other than through CCC, which I feel somewhat defeats the purpose of using this platform in the first place

            CarsonMcCamyVO

Also, I see you got your hands on a U87! I’m extremely jealous!

Don´t it´s payed of. An investment into a mic is such a new beginning. A peace of mind. There are so many talents out there, so you need everything what touches perfection...now are we overqualyfied for CCC? Probably. May the force...J

                CarsonMcCamyVO

I agree: quality takes priority! And yes, I would say in terms of quality, you’re very much qualified to aim much higher than CCC. I’m still operating on a very low end microphone, but I make it work the best I can!

                  As long it´s not an USB-Shit it´s a half a beauty! :D

                    CarsonMcCamyVO

Hahaha, nooo! The USB is forbidden in my booth! But I’m definitely aiming for the Sennheiser mkh416
