Danganronpa Project Paradigm- Voice Actor Recruitment
ILiekNoodels for Student #117- Ruka Kaikatsu, Ultimate Game Developer
Ruka Kaikatsu- Ultimate Game Developer
[Ruka is pronounced Rue-kuh. Kaikatsu is pronounced Kai-Kot-tsu]
If you’re looking for the best of the best when it comes to anything tech or video game related, Ruka Kaikatsu, Ultimate Game Dev and CEO of the indie game company Checkmate is the man for the job. Personable, intelligent, and crafty, Ruka knows just how to turn any game from a hazy vision to a gold-standard triple A on launch. Known for his humble attitude, drive to work, and (as much as he would not like to admit) good looks, Ruka aspires to be the forerunner of new innovation during his time at the Gyakusetsu Academy.
For Ruka, we are looking for a playful, casual, and down to earth voice, but also someone who can become serious and astutely observant when the situation calls for it. We are looking for a medium to medium low masculine voice for this role.
A reference for how he would sound like would be similar to Toshiyuki Toyanaga’s Oberon/Oberon-Vortigern from the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, and Kim Sin-woo’s Hong Lu from the mobile game Limbus Company.
Do note that references are just that: references. Feel free to provide your own interpretation of the character, as we are looking for what will fit the character best, not who's the most accurate to the voice reference.
Extra Note: Some of the references give off a medium to medium high delivery, however, the references were chosen due to how they encapsulate the 'airy' and 'lilting' nature of this character's line delivery, for pitch it is 100% medium to medium low.

Line 1: (laid back, introductory) Heh, I suppose that’s just how it is. Welp, I suppose it’s my turn for any sort of introduction. The name’s Ruka Kaikatsu! Ultimate Game Dev. You might’ve heard of me, you might not, still is nice to meet you all the same~
Line 2: (trying to diffuse the situation) Hey hey, no need to get all hostile here. Trust me, if I were out to get you, I would have done so already. (trying to bring back up a positive and joking atmosphere) Just cuz I do game development doesn’t mean I’m some scrawny nerd after all haha!
Line 3: (serious, yet reassuring) I’m no Ultimate Observationalist, but, I could tell the moment I brought up your family name, you got all cagey, which clearly means that it bothers you. Whether or not you wanna admit it is fine by me, I’m not gonna pry. After all, that would be pretty rude of me.
