Fallout TV Series Inspired NPCs in New Vegas
Endchapter for Maximus
the wannabe soldier Maximus, who grew up aboveground but was also raised in a cloistered “family” of sorts. A brutal collective of warriors called the Brotherhood of Steel. He has a cynical sense of self-preservation that leads him to not always behave honorably or heroically.
- Taken from the Vanity Fair article.
Note: Jonathan Nolan calls Maximus a "squire" while other sources say "scribe." Neither title really makes sense for his role. I'll not get into Fallout lore on a casting call, but Initiate makes much more sense, given our context.
I also know the way I characterize Maximus will most likely not be how Aaron Moten will play him in the show.
This is my take on Maximus.
- male young adult
My name is Maximus. I'm an initiate in the Brotherhood. One day, I hope to be a Paladin. But, that's a long way out.
The Brotherhood is my family. Largely to do with the fact that you have to be born into it. Most of the time, anyway.
You'll have to forgive us. We're a very insular community, but we're not the bad guys, I assure you.
