Itsuka Shinidare (死誰依塚 Shinidare Itsuka), infamously known as the Death Sentence Sorcerer (死刑判決呪術師 Shikei Hanketsu Jujutsushi), is a major supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen: Purple. She is a twenty-one-year-old special-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer working as a teacher at Kyoto Jujutsu High and is responsible for the inadvertent death of her family.
Itsuka is a jaded, dispassionate and ruthless young woman who dedicates her life to protecting Japan from curses and curse users. Although she acts in an impersonal, dour manner most of the time, she can be sympathetic and supportive of innocent people. Additionally, Itsuka has a lot of repressed anger due to the unfairness of what happened in her childhood, and this is made clear by her subdued yet wrathful reactions when fighting Yukou Tsugomorii.

(Itsuka storms into a meeting while a recent terrorism attack is being discussed. Irate, threatening tone.) "I'll kill Yukou Tsugomorii if it's the last thing I do." (Everyone goes quiet; Itsuka walks over to Yukari. Dour, dispassionate tone.) "So, you're the brother." (Yukari slams his eyes shut, yet she simply pats him on the head comfortingly. Sympathetic, reassuring tone.) "None of your brother’s actions are your fault. Please don’t feel guilty.”
(Outside of a curtain trapping Nishi-Shinjuku. Dispassionate, listless tone.) "Yukou Tsugomorii has finally made his move, then." (Itsuka realises the barrier only allows her to pass through. Inner monologue, pensive tone.) "I see now." (She calls Mrs Yokiuji. Professional, explanatory tone.) "I’ve arrived outside the curtain, Mrs Yokiuji. It seems to have been imbued with a condition that prevents anyone other than me from crossing its barrier.”
(Casting her Innate Domain. Solemn, foreboding tone.) "Domain Expansion: Death's Door." (Itsuka successfully traps Yukou Tsugomorii inside her Domain. Cold, callous tone.) "Yukou Tsugomorii... I sentence you to death." (Yukou is executed by her technique and the Domain vanishes. Itsuka falls to her knees, gazing at the sky and stretching her arms to either side as if welcoming death. Heartfelt, joyful yet poignant tone.) "I have finally... atoned for my sins."
