Danganronpa Project Paradigm- Voice Actor Recruitment
Mythix for Student #110- Shinji Taka, Ultimate Screenwriter
Shinji Taka- Ultimate Screenwriter
While some may yearn to take center stage, the ever critical Shinji is more than happy to conduct from behind the scenes. Film and Theatre run in the Taka blood, and as the Ultimate Screenwriter, Shinji is but just one of many well-known bigshots in the Film and Media industry that come from the Taka name. Those who have had the opportunity to see him, all say the same. He is curt and blunt, but nothing if not the absolute platinum standard of professionality. His (rather rare) presence on a film set is sort of a foretelling of high profits, and rave reviews of his work…but in reality, he only ever decides to make his presence known as long as a certain actress is playing the lead...
For Shinji, we are looking for a scathing and direct delivery with a propensity to vary his delivered pacing within his spoken lines (i.e. being able to start off slow, before suddenly yet fluidly/naturally increasing the tempo or cadence when speaking, before winding back down again, shown in his first line), while also being able to convey a very wide array of emotions. We are looking for a medium to medium low masculine voice for this role.
A reference for how his voice would sound like would be Daisuke Ono’s Wriothesely from the Mobile Game, Genshin Impact
Do note that references are just that: references. Feel free to provide your own interpretation of the character, as we are looking for what will fit the character best, not who's the most accurate to the voice reference.
Extra Note: This character has one of the more difficult deliveries when it comes to pacing dialogue. It's completely okay if you don't get it the first time, because we will mostly be looking at how well your voice fits the character and audio quality, etc. In the event you're cast, and you are struggling with line delivery, the directors will be more than willing to help workshop it with you!

Line 1: (A bit snippy, a twinge of sarcasm) Ah yes, forgive me Miss Nero, I was about to talk to the three of them, no need to be so insistent. Ahem. (going through the motions) The name’s Taka. Shinji Taka, Ultimate Screenwriter. Perhaps you’ve heard of me, perhaps you have not, not that I really care one way or another. I am a very good friend of Miss Nero over here, yes… (there is a pause for the talent card here) She’s starred in a few of my screenplays. (about to pick up back to that brisk pace again, getting a bit annoyed as the line progresses) So that brings me to the next point, who are you three exactly, and why are you here to bother us? So annoying, don’t you know- (he is forcibly silenced by Okari)
Line 2: (somewhat exasperated) Listen, I want to know where the hell we are before I commit any wanton property destruction for starters, and also. Why would I bust down an elevator door? There’s buttons for that, is there not?
Line 3: (muttering about Okari) I swear sometimes I wonder what’s with her…No matter. You two are really so… (realizes there's no point in trying to dissuade the people he's talking to) oh whatever. Listen, if you want to take a closer look at that damned elevator, be my guest. Just go down that hallway to the left, by the vending machine over there. Now if you’ll excuse me…
