She places great importance on maintaining the purity of her social standing and orchestrates a conspiracy to kill Griffith after his ascent to nobility, despite his humble origins. Her main motivation for plotting Griffith's assassination is the death of her lover, Julius, who was killed by Guts under Griffith's orders. The Queen harbors deep affection for Julius, and his demise sparks intense fury within her. Even when facing imminent danger from fire, she defiantly declares that she will not allow herself to be killed by a "mere commoner."
