Leorio is initially introduced as a very selfish narcissist who places great emphasis on material wealth. Despite his assertions that he is only after money, he eventually reveals to Kurapika that his dream is to one day become a doctor in order to help the poor. He grew up very poor, and His best friend died from a preventable illness when he was very young. He becomes a hunter to pay for his medical school tuition. He's a very kind and gentle soul who places strong value in his friendships. he starts the series at age 19, by the current spot in time he is 22. he is one of the main 4 characters in HxH and is particularly close with Kurapika, he's shown often taking care of him or worrying for him. He yells a lot, and cries a bit.
