Merlin is a Messenger Bird, or as he likes to call it, a 'highly certified communications emissary'. He is a very fast and smart bird, whose sole purpose is to deliver messages. He shows up in a lot of episodes as a messenger for off-screen events in the story. He is full of himself, as he believes himself to be the best at what he does, he tries to be humble about it, but he isn't very successful most of the time.
