Ghost for Doctor Ashley Song
MINOR ROLE
Doctor Ashley Song (she/her) works at the forensic mortuary in Higanbana General Hospital. She is only in her thirties, but has overworked herself to the point of feeling severely out of touch with her peers. As such, she overcompensates by partying hard on the rare days she has off and getting herself into many interesting situations ('interesting' is a euphemism). Outside of her messy private life, Ashley is an incredibly competent and intelligent forensic scientist in her field.
Ashley only appears in a couple of episodes, so you might want to consider auditioning for a second role as well.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for an appropriately aged voice (20s to 30s) for Ashley. We envision her with a raspy voice (like Erika Ishii) but open to the actor's interpretation. She is as crass as Dana is, but she is more tightly wound and neurotic.
We'd like to see natural and convincing acting rather than exaggerated or cartoonish - so please keep this in mind while auditioning.
We like to collaborate with our actors to bring characters to life - so bring your own interpretation to the role! Including more than one type of voice is encouraged. Any format (ABC, AABBCC, ABCABC etc) is accepted.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Actors must have no background noise and a quality microphone (prosumer preferred - but any good quality microphone is fine!) when recording. Please limit editing your audition to only cuts and minimising noise.

[Sincere. Giving Ilana advice] Dana and Cassie are ancient history, babe. Look, you’re new. You’ve only been here for like what, a couple of months now? I’ll give you some advice about Dana Liu. Don’t piss her off. And I don’t mean ribbing her or being an ass. She can take that stuff. I mean, really piss her off. The Brutus backstabby kind. Keep on her good side and she’ll make you one of her people. And that’s a very useful thing to be.
[Aggressively drunk - sings a short song, giggling sporadically. Then speaks the following line] Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve had a night out? Everyone else are losers. ‘Cept you and me, Nurse Hasan. We’re gonna party til the sun comes up! Sangrias are never mistakes, Giv. They are the opposite of a mistake. A yesstake! (Laughs loudly - then retches)
