He is the embodiment of eastern philosophy and Buddhist understanding, and is responsible for teaching and integrating it into their clan for the sake of creating a new and unique spiritual discipline that trains the mind, body, and soul interchangeably.

Religious beliefs: Amitayus is the philosopher of the group and leans toward Buddhist ideologies above most else. He takes his understanding of it and applies it toward how this segment of reality operates, teaching it to the others so they may make something unique regarding discipline, faith, and philosophy. He believes that all individuals are masks of the true God head, playing the game of hide-and-seek as though they were separate and lesser than Shiva.

Dislikes: Using drugs or other substances, being powerless to help someone or something from happening, not being able to get through to people

Fears: never seeing his father or living family again, not knowing the ultimate nature of reality

Strengths:

  • Amitayus has universal influence and potential, due to him being the conduit and singularity that created their customized universe

  • He is capable of manifesting in any physical or spiritual plane within the confines of his universal boundaries, and is learning to master such feats for the sake of convenience

  • He can manipulate and shift his Æthereal Ratio, meaning he can embody light, darkness, and perfect balance interchangeably for any purpose, though prefers to study it and teach it to others rather than for selfish gains

Weaknesses:

  • He prefers not to actively influence the universe out of fear of changing the natural course of things, thus he doesn't attain his true potential in his current position

  • While capable of astounding feats, Amitayus is reluctant to fight any battle that any of the true warriors in the group can tackle on their own. Thus, plenty of warfare is left unchecked unless it demands require his reluctant input

  • His influence is currently restricted to this universe alone

Long term goals:

  • Find his father to say his final goodbyes

  • Watch over this group of his and all they influence without stepping out of natural line/order

  • Work toward his duties as a Bodhisattva for the sake of universal evolution and ultimate Enlightenment

Voice Description

No specific race, gender or ethnicity; subtle echo, has the same tone of voice as Alan Watts; respectful, low pitched, resonant

Voice Lines/Quotes:

[Insightful] "Life implies suffering. It's unavoidable. All you can do is harden yourself to the pain and strive from there."

[Mournful, sad] "Even as I am now, the likelihood of seeing my father's face one more time is unbearably slim. Sometimes, I wonder if I even remember what he looked like before he succumbed to his cancer."

[Sincere, jovial] "I love the way you think, Tait. You're so full of optimism and hope despite all odds. It's definitely rubbing off on me!"

[Consoling] "Let go of your past, Cain. It does the spirit an injustice to hold onto things that were out of your control. At least here and now, you can yearn for a brighter future, despite the darkness within your path ahead."

[Insecure, uncertain] "I cannot bring myself to take a life for the sake of self preservation. I mean, what is there to preserve beyond my one-sided insight? Surely, the filing cabinets full of paradigms have their own wisdom that prove to be ideal compared to my own? I just don't know, and that's what hurts the most."

Events and History

History and background details

Amitayus Frontasius once worked and studied alongside Bradley Beauchemin and Stian Scriver, who had enough private funding to run their own think tank. Their main field of research was a unique device known as the Improbability Drive (Drive, ID), which was something of Bradley's imagination, capable of allowing one to study the nature of reality itself. Amitayus's primary field of study was philosophy, and given that the Drive was an extension of any mortal body it was connected to, the implications in his field were truly capable of completely rewriting paradigms people used to navigate life. Thus, his duty was to help explain all things philosophical using the insights that the ID provided.

Amitayus was fascinated by eastern philosophy and religions to the point where he converted from an atheist to a Buddhist during his early career. It made sense in a technical sense, as it happened to align with the things the ID was proving mathematically conclusive. While seeking better understanding of how reality operated thanks to the abundant research, Amitayus found himself lost in study, neglecting his personal life.

It soon came to Amitayus's attention, however, that his beloved father was succumbing to a cancer he had been diagnosed with just before Amitayus was born. It was a form of tongue cancer that was treated and went dormant for decades before finally reemerging in his early 60's, which staggered Amitayus down to his core. His beliefs, despite all he thought he knew about life and death, was confronted by the certainty of his father passing away, never to be seen again. He didn't know how to make up for lost time, nor did he feel like he knew for certain if all his work and beliefs were accurate enough to use as a coping mechanism. While Amitayus was trying to find the right answers, his father seemed to be more at peace, and offered some inspirational words from an old movie that stuck with his son for the rest of his days;

"I mean, what have you got to lose?

You know, you come from nothing

You're going back to nothing

What have you lost? Nothing!"

Heavy words with such uplifting optimism rubbed off on Amitayus, and when the fateful day arrived, he found more of a reason to try and balance work and play; for the sake of maintaining his mental health. There was a sense of acceptance with not knowing certain things, but being faithful to Buddhist ideologies made things much easier on Amitayus's shoulders. Not to mention, if this research was capable of unveiling the mysteries of what it means to be alive and how it implies death, then sticking to his ethics was worth doing for the sake of those around him.

Truth be told, with the persistence of Bradley and the insightful support of Stian, Amitayus's role of understanding and translating the philosophical paradigms became far easier for him to do. Their support was akin to that of his true family, who he finally learned to allow into his life after the death of his father brought them closer. He soon personified the kind of person who wanted to seek his understanding and Enlightenment for the sake of others instead of himself, which was how he earned the nickname Bodhisattva from his colleagues. Years of research and development of the ID introduced an opportunity to personify this ideology of grand proportion, to which Amitayus effortlessly undertook.

When he donned his Drive, his ability to study the nature of reality became more than spectacles from his previously limited vessel to comprehend. Transformed into an embodiment of his consciousness, able to explore himself and the foundational essence of existence within him without meddling with it, Amitayus's mind was truly opened. He reached nirvana and decided, for the sake of his family and peers, that he would help them achieve Enlightenment.

Shortly after Stian and Bradley had transmigrated into their immortal vessels, the group of Chompas who were pursuing the one who started it all found them instead; a grieving wisp, a lucid skeleton, and a nearly mad robot scientist, all of which were dealing with serious mental and physiological struggles. Amitayus had nearly lost his mind in pursuing his father, to little avail, Stain's LSD ID had given him psychosis, and Bradley's new body provided all the insight he didn't ask for regarding his past lives and how he knew of this supposedly groundbreaking ID research.

Thus, a compromise was established. To circumvent their Ragnarok Effect from destroying this universe, Amitayus, Stian and Bradley merged into the group and were taken to somewhere they could think straight. Amitayus was forced to prove himself and let go of all of his attachments, since the transmigration process that Stian and Bradley underwent was about to cause cataclysmic destruction until they left forever, never to return.

After some time passed, and side effects of their mentally stimulating IDs wore off, they wound up finding a vacant spot for them to create a new universe for them to live, using Amitayus as the singularity that would be capable of nullifying The Ragnarok Effect from influencing their inevitable long term goals. This ritual would force Amitayus to undergo a rigorous transmigration, but in doing so, any Chompa born or created in this new universe wouldn't have to worry about The Ragnarok Effect taking place.

After all was said and done, Amitayus became not only a Shiva in his own right, but also maintained a vessel for himself to project within this new universe. This way, he could teach his wisdom to not only his kin, but also anyone who happened upon them. While Amitayus still gets used to his ability to be in many places at once, he maintains his responsibility as a Bodhisattva for the sake of all within his universal self. He is a living example of a living universe, which had heavy implications that were necessary for teaching others how the nature of reality truly operated, inside and out.
