Character Sprite Artist Role.

Character Design Artists are individuals who create the designs for the characters in the game.
Please see requirements below to see if you fit the part!

Artist Requirements.

As this game is set in Victorian England, preferably the art style would be more detailed and fitting of that time period. The character designs will need to be historically accurate, and easily readable for the rest of the team to animate/draw. They will need to show the character's nature, personality, heritage and more.
I will provide examples and references.
Note, in this role there will be a lot of back and forth on how they look, what changes need to be made, etc. So if you struggle with taking criticism/would like criticism delivered in a particular way, please inform me and I'll do my best to accommodate you!
As this is for a demo, time isn't much of a restraint to us as we'll be going back and forth on a lot of things, but keep in mind that for the final product I will be inviting back all of the original team (plus some more hopefully). This means that when working on the final game we'll have stricter deadlines and faster turnarounds (though not without reasonable times).

For your application, I will need a resume and portfolio of relevant artwork, as well as examples of game characters you have designed in the past. If you have not worked on a game before or have not created a character design before, please inform me and take the time to create a mockup and send it through with your application.

About Payment.

The rate listed is just a rough estimation of how much I can pay, but I am very much willing to go a lot higher if the right artist comes along, so please keep that in mind.

Payment is discussed and agreed upon before each project (aka artwork), and unless there's a very good reason for it, I will not negotiate a change in the agreed upon price. (Note, all discussions of payment/agreement of payment will be recorded and saved.)

If you are chosen for this project, please be aware that you will be required to provide an invoice each time you have completed a project.
