Benjamin Grimm, otherwise known as The Thing, is a member of The Fantastic Four. Ben is prone to intense bouts of anger, sometimes leading to brief, tantrum-like rampages. He is the Fantastic Four’s pilot. While the new time period provides the same issues as before regarding his appearance, he adapts rather well. Ben is the person on the team everyone goes to when they need someone to talk to, a role he accepts willingly and happily. Ben is Reed Richards’s best friend, and has a playful, sometimes antagonistic, rivalry with Johnny Storm.
