"The Sound of Seerah," is an immersive audio production that chronicles the remarkable life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In this episode, one of the young followers of Islam is discovered to have converted by his own mother. She is so insulted she goes on hunger strike to dissuade him from sticking to the new religion.

She is an upbeat and loving, if not slightly overbearing mother. She gradually becomes weaker and weaker as her stubborn hunger strike withers away her health.

(explaining) Well, you've been hearing the news about this Muhammad fellow and how he's tearing up families. I heard some of his rebels are secret, they could be anyone! Even some of our customers! So, I had the idea to get a new god for the shop to protect us from his sorcery and corruption.
(weakly) "S-son? Have you...(cough) have you left Muhammad's religion yet? I will not eat. I will not put a morsel in my mouth. Not until you repent, and come back to our gods.
