Ocular Ordeal for Jackie Tradefall
Jackie is a teenager that started working a minimum wage job at a waterpark and, despite her wishes, ended up running the entire place by herself. She is panicked, overworked, but... Somehow manages to keep things together. Usually. She is unfortunate enough to be a sane, capable person in a world of cartoony idiots.
In the pilot episode she is mostly freaked out as the responsibility of running the park first falls on her. If this is adapted into a series, she will become a recurring character and the initial wide-eyed fear will be replaced with the frustration of someone who's job sucks but they have no choice but to accept it.

They can't be serious, right...? I... ((realizing something)) Oh my god that's why my assignment sheet came in a binder that said "Good luck" on it! I thought that was a joke! I can't... Wait, if that wasn't a joke... ((Full on panic)) OH GOD THE WATER PUMPS!
What?! NO! Not quit- I need- I need this job, I have student loans with a very strict payment plan and I need the college credit, I literally can't quit, I just meant--
((Overworked)) Yes I'll be right there, I just have to clean the toilets... Or build new ones. And-- Sir! sir! please don't climb on-- ((with resignation, as she's ignored)) --okay.
Hah! I really enjoyed your take on her! :DThe mic has a bit of a raspyness to it, I think, but your delivery on her lines is really fun and gets the tone with which it was intended!
Thank you haha! The raspyness may be a vocal fry of sorts; which will fix itself if I actually remember to drink enough water while I'm recording. If it *is* a mic problem, I honestly wouldn't know how to fix that-She was a lot of fun to voice, so I'm glad you enjoyed my delivery! Thank you!
I think it's a mic quality issue not a voice thing. It's not the end of the world, especially for the pilot episode as Jackie only makes an appearance over the phone. However if you have some way of borrowing a higher quality mic from somewhere that will certainly help, since I really like your panicked, frazzled delivery of her lines.
Is it like a background static of sorts, then? I have an XLR mic that's high enough quality that mic quality really *shouldn't* be an issue, and other directors haven't mentioned this before. So I'll do my best to figure out what you mean by this rasp so I can fix it.
