Halo: Celestia, A Halo Audio Drama (New Role Added!)
ryanahixon for Leonard Copplin
Leonard Copplin is the 'hired gun' of the crew. He is the one who does all of the heavy lifting and general matinance around the ship. He can be a bit of a rude, cocky, jock type character, almost a Han solo type. Any accent will do, but I'm thinking European. If you would like, feel free to do multiple auditions with different voices and send them all individually. We'll just go with the best one.
"Oh look, the prodigy does sleep. Who would've guessed? We all just kinda figured you were a robot or something." (sarcastic, rude tone)
"Hey, you just watch yourself there, boy. She may not look like much (refering to the ship) but she's gotten us boys through the ends of the galaxy and back. And that was without givin' her motivational support. Besides, do you really think those people out there expect cargo traders to be handsome, well groomed, dashing little men like yourself? We''re the ones putting our arse's on the line so someone like you can have your damned cream in the morning. Not that you ever needed it."
"Not me. I'm just the hired lifting." (Responding to another character talking about doing cargo deliveries. I'm thinking of a K2-SO from Rogue One)
I liked how you articulated certain points of the lines. As with another audition I just commented on, the only thing I have a problem with is the background noise. It sounds like your microphone works fine, but maybe the gain is up or you're just next to a lot of things online? (Probably the gain). Do you mind if I ask what microphone you use?
It's either a USB mic (typically high noise levels) or the gain is far too high. I doubt it's the latter because he doesn't sound like he's too close to the mic. (this is meshtatsuo from reddit btw. I offered to help out with sound design)
Hey there! If you can private message me, either on Reddit or here, about the sound design, we could start working on that. And I agree. Although I'm not sure what type of USB mic he is using. I personally use the Yeti, and I just recently found out by turning the gain down completely, and not even having it up a little, my sound comes out clear as day. But if it's a mic like the Snowball, or something lesser, then he really doesn't have any options outside of post production to counter that. Which I have Audition, but it is still rather noticeable.
no problem, sent you a message on reddit!
