Doctor_Throwback for Valyn
Valyn is a soldier-turned-captain and commands a handful of the last of his nation's forces stationed at Bastuos. While it's not customary for soldiers to reach the rank of captain at Valyn's age (he's in his late twenties), he, like Sigrid, was also thrust into his role when the capital of their nation fell.
Valyn has a tendency to not sugarcoat things, as he himself values honesty, no matter how blunt he is. This already put him at odds with his fellow servicemen when he staunchly advocated for militarization before his nation came under attack. After the capital's fall, the people around him are more willing to listen to him.

Our biggest mistake was not militarizing when the situation called for it. Are you really that surprised by our nation's downfall? Well, it's not like any of that matters now.
You and I both know that it's all but an inevitability, but ignorance is bliss I suppose...
He's seen better days, for sure. Here- Help me get him up. He won't survive for much longer if we leave him here, the poor fellow.
Thank you for your interest in the project! I've got some feedback from the producer of the project. He says that you came out of the gate swinging. He loved your second and third takes in particular and says that he's a sucker for Scottish accents. Furthermore, he stated that he likes how you changed the last word of the last line to fit the character better and that it goes to show that sometimes the input of an actor can really help improve a character beyond the vision of its creator. I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you so much for your feedback and for the well wishes. Scottish is one of my most favorite accents/dialects to portray, so anytime I can throw it in somewhere I usually go all out!
