While The Janitor appears quite mundane at first, he displays some mysterious mannerisms. He can seemingly disappear and hints at having access to preternatural knowledge. This can be observed as he knows Mae's name regardless of being told.

The Janitor speaks with a down-to-earth tone and often offers sagely yet cryptic advice to Mae. During these conversations, he is quick to excuse himself by stating that more work needs to be done.
