PLEASE AUDITION SINGING A SONG YOU THINK FITS ASGORE.

NOTE!  I would like Chara to be pronounced to sound like Car-a, as in car.  The word cara means friend in Irish, and I am a firm believer that Undertale is based off of Irish mythology.

With Asgore, I am looking for a cheery, warm voice, but at the same time has a majestic edge to it.  Maybe because it's Christmas, but I have the voice of Santa Claus in my head.  Asgore does a lot of voice over talking before ever singing in Act 2.  I don't have anything written musically wise for Asgore yet, but we are about to record for the Toriel/Frisk scenes, and I cannot finish the recordings without Asgore there.

I am fine with any accent so far, but our Toriel may go with a British accent.  If you are able to do a British-like accent, do so, but only do it if you are truly capable of performing it.

  • Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: Humans and Monsters.  One day, war broke out between the two races.  After a long battle, the humans were victorious.  They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.  This story, however, takes place many years later.

  • Chara, please, wake up!  The fate of humans and monsters depends on you.  You cannot give up just yet.  Chara!  Stay determined.

  • Nice day today, huh?  Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, perfect weather for a game of catch.  You know what we must do.  How tense.  Just think of it like... a visit to the dentist.

Oh, Les Mis. You brought me to my happy place. I think it was all great! The voice, the acting, the singing, my only thing is that there's always room for more. Asgore needs a large contrast in emotion. He needs to be dark at some points, and very light hearted at others. In my opinion, he's one of the most diverse characters. I'd love to hear more.
