The Cardinals Daughter is the daughter of a high ranking member of the religious ruling class of this world (not neccesarily a cardinal, that's just a placeholder title) who has been allowed to accompany this expedition. She should sound happy and innocent, and excited at the delivery of the second line. I imagine the character with a typical southern drawl, but other interpretations are welcome.
Y'know, everyone bitches all to hell bout' that preacher, but he ain't so bad. I been talkin' to him for a while now and he really is quite an interesting man.
