Inspired by the legacy of Jay Garrick, he donned his famous red spandex and became the Scarlet Speedster, the Sultan of Speed—the Flash. Barry had a years-long flirtation with Iris West that culminated in their marriage. He also became a mentor to Iris' nephew, Wally West, his sidekick Kid Flash. Barry is a founding member of the Justice League of America and one of the world's greatest superheroes.
