Before starting Off The Hook with Pearl, Marina was a part of a different musical duo during her life in Octocity, with Sunny. Together, Sunny and Marina would use their tuneful skills to bring joy to the citizens of Octocity. After the events of Marina's "departure", Sunny goes on a mission to find Marina on the surface, and bring her back down to earth.

(confrontation, frustrated, concerned) NO! Champ...and everyone at the hospital are suffering because of the blackout! *pause* (a bit calmer) The Squids take everything from us...don't let them take you too!
(soothing, trying to convince Marina) That last time, your mind was messed up by the squid music. But it's gonna be OK. I got you.
