Salazar Slytherin is one of the founders, he starts off cocky arrogant but over time becomes more mellow and relies on his friends more and wants to protect those he cares for.
He has a cheeky and sly sounding voice but he can also go dark when angry he's a bit like a Snake in many ways you betray him and turn your back he'll pounce.

Hogwarts Orientation Speech:
Salazar: My name is Salazar Slytherin, head of Slytherin house and one of the Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, what I look for in my students are those full of ambition and resourcefulness, an abundance of determination to achieve whatever their desire, and a cunning some may find devious, I will also only teach those who come from magical parents. If either of your parents are Muggles I will not teach you.
Talking About his Ability To Speak to Snakes:
Salazar: I always had this ability, what most people hear as hisses and slithers I can understand fully as english, it's not even like a conscious effort either talking to snakes just comes as natural as me and you talking right now, maybe one day i'll understand how or why I have this power, and maybe one day I'll be able to use it to make the world a better, safer place.
