He is a baby, but he is a generally smart baby. He can speak English without issue and has good genetics. He was brought to this new world recently to rebuild humanity in case all else fails. Furball assumes that the evil in the new world is above killing a baby, so he's hoping to be able to protect Pickles until he comes of age and is able to regularly reproduce.

Last night I had a preminition. There's good news and bad news from what I can tell. Good news is that Ben might be okay. The bad news is...well he may be working for them now.
