CARL WAYNE [serious]: The reason I called everyone here is to decide who my successor will be.
CARL WAYNE [interrupts]: It’s okay. Are you two okay?
CARL WAYNE [awkward]: I’m sorry. Well, um, I didn’t send you to the countryside because I didn’t care about you, it’s the opposite, I cared too much about you and didn’t want you to get hurt. But in the beginning, [tears fall] I couldn’t take it, I believed you had killed Lea.
Hi there! Your voice really portrays what I'm looking for! So, regarding your request for my thoughts and feedback, I'll just state one thing before I begin: I'm not a professional at this so I hope that my words won't hurt you in any form and way. It also means that I'm not necessarily correct. So, honestly, I think that the first line is okay, but for your second line, you should've hurried to say, "It's okay." This is because Carl Wayne is "interrupting," and usually when a person interrupts someone, they would talk a little faster than one would usually talk, hinting that they wanted some attention. Lastly, for the last line, at "But in the beginning, [tears fall] I couldn't take it, I believed you had killed Lea," I would pause at certain places to make it seem more believable that a senior was said. It's like when you recall something, you would usually pause to think about it. But that's my advice, thoughts, and feedback. You don't have to listen to it, it's just me rambling about some things I thought could have been better, but overall, I liked your audition! Keep it going!
Thanks for the honest feedback! Still getting use to the voice acting life and following direction when it comes to script. If you like, I am happy to re-record the audition with those notes
Thank you and yes, it would be nice to have a re-recorded version! Also, regarding my script directions, it's really just something to improvise on the spot because most of them are actions as when I was writing this script, I didn't have voice acting directions in mind, but rather actual stage directions. So, I'm just saying that you don't need to feel pressured to actually do the "stage directions" or actions that are written. I was just too lazy to change that.
Appreciate it! I have uploaded a second take of all the lines. Please let me know your thoughts
