She sounds fairly motherly and sweet, with an older tone in her voice like she has seen it all. Yet there is also a shakiness there: she's hiding something and she fears the detectives that have come to wrestle the information out of her. Think of it, like... A mother who is lying to her son's parole officer, inexperienced with lying and trying to protect someone.

Yes, the witness is a horse. Don't question it. It's funny, horse sounds will be added in post-production to make it even funnier. If you can do something horse-related in your audition, than I implore you to go nuts, but it's not required.

  • It's a specialty recipe that my mom passed down to me when I was just a filly. The trick is to season the hay with just a few pinches of ground-up pebbles.
