(Note: Although Jaller is canonically male, I have left the role open to both male and female actors, since female actors, at least in my personal opinion, can do very convincing "young boy" voices, and I didn't want any prospective female actors to be put off by the character's canonical gender.)
Jaller (pronounced JAH-lah) is the Captain of the Guard of Ta-Koro and the right hand of Turaga Vakama. He is careful to consider all courses of action before doing anything, and makes sure his teammates are all in agreement before moving on. Though initially grim, at times humourless, he softens partly due to his newfound friendship with Takua.

I am Jaller, Captain of the Guard. It's my job to protect the city against the Rahi. I knew they were getting stronger, but no one in the city believed me... until the beasts overran the Tren Krom redoubt.
Ta-Koro is the city in the great Lake of Fire, in the shadow of Mangai, the great volcano. This fortress guards the bridge to it. Many Matoran live there, surely you've heard of it?
But you wonder off every chance you get looking for stories! What about YOUR story? You don't HAVE a story? Only because you won't stand still long enough to make one. We all have a destiny, you know.
