Yu Narukami is a quiet, well-mannered young man who acts as the centerpiece of the Investigation Team. Despite his usual deadpan expression and mature demeanor, he is the most vocal about his beliefs in often "childish" concepts such as Friendship and Bonds. For this reason, he is able to make friends with others rather easily.

I'm not going to be unrealistic and ask for a perfect Johnny Yong Bosch impression. All I ask is that the voice at least sounds relatively fitting for Yu's character. If you would like to attempt a Johnny Yong Bosch impression, here's a link for reference.

You do NOT have to audition for Adachi as well. If you decide to, though, I ask that your voices for Yu and Adachi be similar to one another, but distinct enough to tell apart.

  • "You liked her, right? Saki, I mean. Then isn't that proof enough?"

  • "Calm the hell down, Yosuke!"

  • "People can do it. As long as they open their eyes and look around, they'll see it. They'll see the truth! If there is a fog, they just have to embrace the truth to get rid of it! This is what's right, and this is the path I choose to follow!"

We're definitely on the right track. Your first line is coming off much better than before. I just need a tinge more empathy in your voice there but other than that, your tone and volume there fit nicely. Your takes on the second line are awesome for what I've given you. Getting the exact emotion will take getting into the moment for it, so I can't ask too much more of you on that front. The third line is getting SO MUCH closer to what I exactly need. That big climactic build-up is getting closer to what I'm looking for, I just need it to have a lower starting point so you can stretch it out further. At the beginning of the speech, you are at your weakest. Defeated. Alone. And as you're continuing on. Voicing your beliefs about humanity's potential. You're building your strength back up literally as well as metaphorically. So that when you finally declare "This is the path I choose to follow," it's no longer just about being the truth or anything of the sort. It's about what YOU want. About what YOU believe in. YOUR truth. I'm confident you can pull it off.
