Michael is the commander of the nearby human settlement's army. He is quite prejudiced towards Voo-Doom and thinks them all to be savages. He and Scar are mortal enemies, with Scar viewing the battles they have much more honorably than he does.
Commander Anderson is a man afraid for his own people. Anything that seems relatively different to himself or similar to the doll-like species he fights triggers alarm bells in his head. As such, he is not very fond of change.
He will start as a minor character for the pilot, but will be more prominent later in the series.
[groans, annoyed] Just stop talkin' already, alright? You're giving me a headache.
[directing his men] These creatures are getting smarter, more strategic. They're forming larger communities that will inevitably threaten our home. Our mothers, our sons, our soldiers--they'll all perish if we leave them to their own devices. We, as humans, have a responsibility to our ancestors and this planet to reclaim it rightfully once more. They are becoming tired, men. This is our chance to strike. And remember, they aren't human... So leave no woman or child alive that you see.
