"Life Happens" - An Upcoming Anime Series
heizhima for Mrs. Ledge
Mrs. Ledge is the math teacher at Primrose High School. She is a woman in-between her young adult and middle age years, leaning more towards young adult. She loves teaching math and has an engaging way of doing. She can be patient with her students, except for those that choose to act out and waste her time. In that case, she expresses her trademark sarcasm and wit to put them in their place. With the exception of Austin Pierce, most of her students back down once she becomes a sarcastic jerk. When it comes to Austin, he's the only one who can match her wit and sarcasm. Or rather, Mrs. Ledge is the only one to match his wit and sarcasm.
We are looking, preferably, for a medium-range voice. Any kind of voice will do for this character, but we prefer that the voice has a North American accent. We are lenient towards other accents if you choose to include one.
[Mrs. Ledge will have more moments where she's sarcastic and puts people in their place, but there are moments where she is trying to teach her students something.]
"These are the Properties of Multiplication. They are specific sets of rules that we use while multiplying numbers. We'll start with the easiest one - The Identity Property."
[Mrs. Ledge tends to be very sarcastic, mainly to put students that act out in their place. One of the students in this case is Austin, who matches her wit and sarcasm to a point where they constantly butt heads.]
(in disbelief) "I... I feel like your head is fighting over your limited brain cells, and it lost them in the process."
(smirks) "Fine, whatever. It’s your grade."
[If she needs to, Mrs. Ledge will raise her voice. She has the loudest voice out of any teacher in the entire school.]
(as a preliminary warning) "GET BACK IN YOUR SEATS RIGHT NOW!"
(at the top of her lungs) "SHUT YOUR TRAPS AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY CLASSROOM!"
This is a really good audition. There's a commanding presence that's maintained well throughout, with each of the lines hitting the right emotions and tones. The line delivery and pacing are well done. The voice does sound a bit young, but not young enough to only be suitable for a high school student. I could see this kind of voice fitting a teacher. This is a great audition for sure. Thank you so much for auditioning for this project. We will take this into consideration.
Glad you liked it!
