Collin is a soft-spoken and relatively anxious 11-year-old boy. He's uneasy talking about his family or his work but there's always an underlying sense that he WANTS to if he could just overcome his nervousness and in the moments it IS overcome it's replaced with a deep sense of fondness and wonder. His voice is quiet but still audible, his tone soft yet slightly forceful as if it takes him some amount of effort to make himself speak out loud at all sometimes.

We used to live by an old lighthouse. My grandpa was in charge of it for years before he died. He used to take me to the top of it just before it got dark to look out at the water and all of the colours of the stars and the sky and sea looked like... Magic. Grandma always just called it "magic". I think that's the best word for it anyway.
They're not very good yet. But I'm trying. Dad says he'll get me oil paints for my birthday.
It's... a deer. I guess. I'm that good at drawing the animals yet. I just like the trees.
