Raiden Mei is an A-rank Valkyrie and the Herrscher of Thunder that awakened in Nagazora City, Japan. Her only and best friend Kiana never left her side, and caught Mei as she tried to jump from the school roof. At St. Freya, Mei often took the role of a caretaker-- for both Kiana and the rest of the group. She would often cook for their little family, including packing lunches for her friends. She was always a good student, which carried over to her time in St. Freya.
When Mei became the 3rd Herrscher, Mei's Herrscher personality woke. Mei's Herrscher personality was originally very malicious and cold: viewing those lower than her as scum. Her Herrscher personality could not only feel her pain, but also her joy (along with her feelings for Kiana). The Herrscher personality was touched when Kiana caught Mei from the edge of the school rooftop. However, both Mei and the Herrscher personality grew fearful of hurting Kiana and losing this precious bond. The Herrscher personality concealed herself within Mei.

[Mei has just engaged in an emotional physical fight with Kiana. Mei has made a deal with a mysterious organization to keep Kiana protected, and they fight over Mei's decision. She's heartbroken, but knows her decision to part with Kiana is for the best. The line is said as she lays Kiana's unconscious body down and leaves]
