Voice: Topaz is non-binary. They have a medium-pitch voice that can be masculine or feminine, both work. Topaz has a very quiet voice - it's sometimes hard to hear them. They don't talk a lot, but their character is still very involved in the story. When they do talk (especially about machines), they get a little more talkative and animated.
(Quiet, nervous, unsure. You don't know what to say and have been instructed to say.) "Oh...hi. I'm Topaz. Um...I'm a mechanic. That's it."
(You want to apologize for your friend, but you're too awkward to make your stuttering sound good.) "Uh. Um. I just wanted to say sorry. About...Pearl. I know she can be a lot. Ah, um, that's all."
(Doubtful, confused. Someone told you something that is the opposite of your belief.) "A-are you sure? No one here thinks what I do is...cool."
