JOTUNAR WARRIOR 1: (impatient) How long do we have to wait here? I'm hungry for Aesir blood!
JOTUNAR WARRIOR 2: We shouldn't have to wait for long. The Aesir are bound to come in here eventually, for now just take hold of yourself. The reward for our patience will be all the more sweet.
JOTUNAR WARRIOR 3: (uncertain) Should we even be here? (Looking around cautiously) They say the High One has eyes everywhere. What are we even doing this for?
JOTUNAR WARRIOR 1: (slaps JW3 with outrage) Do you even seriously have to ask?! That old dog that sits up on that throne (gesturing to ODIN'S throne) has spent far too much timegarnering war and bloodshed with many a jotun without fear of reprisal!
JW 2: (confidently) But that ends today. Once we have his head, we'll return home and present it proudly to our clan. Then all the jotunar will see that the day of the Aesir has long passed!
ASGARDIAN GUARD 1: (confused) Yes my king…(their expression changes to horror at the sight of the bodies on the floor) By the god's before us…
(A second ASGARDIAN GUARD enters, also horrified)
AG 1: (timid) But my lord, we—
AG 1: (panicked) Yes All-Father!
ASGARDIAN GUARD 2: (hesitant) If…if I may, sire, I was already on my way here to deliver a message when we heard your call. It's the Nornir, my liege…They have sent word expressing an urgent desire to meet with you.
SERVANT GIRL: (smiling shyly) Well to be honest with you, your highness, I wasn’t certain if it was indeed true or just a trick played with enchanted weaponry made to give the illusion of his rumored ability.
FREYJA: (laughs taken aback) My, my aren’t you remarkably smart for your station.
SERVANT GIRL: (bowing her head nervously) I’m so sorry, your majesty. I did not mean to overstep.
FREYJA: (waving her hand dismissively) No my dear, you misunderstand. I was impressed with your perceptions as well as your cleverness.
SERVANT GIRL: I still apologize all the same. But honestly, my Queen, you can hardly blame someone like myself for being so awestruck by him. A beautiful being whose very presence shines like the sun and is untouchable? It is quite the sort of thing many like myself wish to aspire to. Anything I could possibly learn would only put me one step closer to such greatness.
