Makoto and Emi's loving father. Although he shows kindness and wittyness to the people around him, his past is anything but that. Ryoma became incredibly depressed after his wife Yumi Kiragawa died in a car accident in 1994. Becoming heavily depressed and losing his job, he joined the Laohu with the help of a drinking buddy in 1995. He's quick to anger and can act irrationally, but wants to do the right thing, even if he rarely got the opportunity to do so. Ryoma hides his past from Makoto, Emi and Ryujin, not wanting them to know the horrible things he had to do to make ends meet... and the things he stirred in the proccess.
Ryoma is the typical dad. He's kind but also very witty, blurting out a joke every now and then whenever he sees fit. He has a quick temper and can be intimidating to others when angered. He values his family the most, doing damn-near anything to make sure that they're well and safe. Ryoma is also a very secretive person, having "a lot of skeletons in his closet", as described by Tao-Hu Xinya.

Your mother used to take tons of pictures of the both of you from when you were both really young, and only HALF of them are embarrassing! Better than what the pictures your grandmother took of me when i was little, that's for sure.
