An eighth grader. Jaded and profane - or at least, he’d like to think of himself that way. Has a Napoleon complex, probably. He’s on the Greyhound with his twin sibling Samson, headed to the middle of nowhere for some godforsaken summer camp. Or, y’know, he would be doing that, if not for the sudden onslaught of zombies. He’s in this to make sure his sibling doesn’t get hurt - but when he finds out that another passenger’s vape is the cure to the zombie infection, he figures maybe he’ll get his fifteen minutes of fame if the world finds out he helped save the day. And, y’know. It gets him out of summer camp.
VOCAL NOTES: MIDDLE RANGE VOICE. OFTEN DEADPAN, BUT HE IS A KID AND KIDS CAN HAVE EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS SOMETIMES, SO KEEP THAT IN MIND. VA MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH MAINTAINING ENERGY THROUGH SARCASM/DEADPAN HUMOR.
SHERMAN: Wait - okay, wait a MINUTE. Are you trying to tell us that your stupid nicotine addiction just CURED a zombie?
SHERMAN: (THIS IS SOMETHING THAT DEEPLY HURTS SHERMAN’S FEELINGS AND HE ONLY KNOWS HOW TO RESPOND WITH ANGER) They THOUGHT it’d be a nice way to get rid of us for three months. And they don’t care if we enjoy it or not. They’ve never cared about what we think. They just want us to fit their idea of a perfect kid, all athletic and upstanding and popular, and since we don’t they sent us out here. Better than having to deal with us, right?
