NOTE: Hannes is a semi reoccurring character who appears throughout several episodes in season 1 and 2, please do not audition if you are not prepared for this! 

Hannes is being written as the hero you never want around. He isn't bad, he just isn't useful. He is basically a Zapp Brannigan ripoff only he is a low ranking officer. He often ruins serious moments by saying some stupid nonsense, and when he isn't drunk he is just stupid. But he always tries his hardest to be a friendly charmer.
