Harry is a barman in his fifties. He hasn't had much education, but he's street-wise. His establishment isn't the kind of place the rich and famous frequent. Behind the bar, he is completely at home, part-therapist, part- (unqualified) life-advisor, part-kindergarten-supervisor to his clientele.
[chuckling at the joke] Good one! [Warm, friendly advice] But you wanna know what I think? I think it all balances out in the end... good luck, bad luck, ying, yang... all that stuff. You've been on a bad roll, so you just gotta hang in there because you're due a break.
[Sfx: Thoughtful, reflective music starts to play]
HARRY: [Like a parent giving advice] Let me tell you a little story about an old pal of mine who had this big dream about one day becoming-
[Sfx: Needle scratch, music stops]
HARRY: [Suddenly shouts] Hey buddy! You kick my jukebox one more time and I'll kick you! [Calm again, talking to CAROL once more] I really should get that thing looked at...
