Mari is a confident, righteous, somewhat flamboyant, young adult. Not afraid to speak their mind, and rarely confronted with a social situation they can’t handle. Frankly put, they’re the partying type!
Mari is often accompanying Lumi when out on the town, seeing as their new to the island. Mari comes across as curious and interested with things that don’t even concern them, and when it comes to their specific interests, they will unapologetically nerd out and get intense.
“Hey Lumi, just chill… I got this. (breath in) HEY DUDE, IT’S BEEN TEN MINUTES! WHERE’S HER BISCUIT?”
[Calm and down to earth in the first sentence, takes a complete 180 after the inhale]

[Wistfully said, with a certain sense of sorrow or disappointment behind the line. Towards the end, they trail off]
“Don’t apologize for being emotional or anything, it’s natural! But if you still want to talk though, that’s totally fine too.”
[Casually said, trying to cheer a friend up]
