Demon is the older brother of Damien, part of the resistance and former commander of the Black Mage.
He was born to a demon father and a human mother, and grew up in Tynerum after pledging allegiance to the Black Mage, in exchange for protection and immunity for Damien and his mother, setting up a home in southern Minar Forest. Tynerum was a brutally harsh place where war and chaos ruled. The strong Demons prevailed and the weak were scorned and beaten. Demon came out better than his brother Damien, although he was constantly mocked for being half-human like his younger brother. At one point, Demon's devil powers awakened in order to protect Damien from bullies, and Demon vowed to protect Damien no matter what.
But Demon was betrayed when his mother, and assuming his brother Damien, were killed in the aftermath of an attack on Leafre ordered by the Black Mage. What he didn’t realize was that Damien had survived that night. Demon vowed vengeance and attacked the Black Mage, but was overwhelmed and sealed away for several centuries. Demon's attack did aid the Heroes in sealing away the Black Mage however, ending his reign of terror for the time being. When he awoke from the curse with all his power taken from him, he joins up with the Resistance, seeking revenge on the Black Mage and training to recover his former strength.
In Heroes of Maple, Demon learns that a new commander had demon soldiers invade his old home of southern Minar Forest. Thus he set off, determined to expose the identity of the commander.
Cult of Personality: Like his brother, Demon is shown to be a dramatic character, as their story plays out like a Greek tragedy. Demon is shown to be strong willed and responsible, as he and Damien dealt with discrimination and bullying for being part human when they were young. He is also quite caring as he is always looking out for his younger brother Damien, although he was often too busy to spend time with his family. Demon shows a great deal of guilt, as he feels responsible for all of Damien’s suffering in Tynerum, being unaware of what happened the night their mother died or how Damien was manipulated into becoming the Black Mage’s commander. This is exacerbated when Demon is unable to convince Damien not to go after the Black Mage’s forbidden power, as it would destroy him.
…You and I, we are both bound by the shackles of the past. You must stop this foolish crusade, Damien. I can only imagine the pain you have been in, shouldering your guilt alone these past centuries... But accepting the Black Mage's power will only destroy you, or drive you mad. This is not the way to honour our mother's memory!
Correcting the mistakes of the past is my burden alone. I beg of you... It's not too late, you can still stop this! … Damien! What's happened to you? … Argh!!

Hello again rossva, thank you for getting this audition in. Indeed, the reverb treatment is considerably better this time, any excess is manageable now. You have the right vocal range for this role, and it's a pretty cool sounding voice, *but I felt the performance was off. I felt it sounded too evil, and your delivery needed to be more dramatic and desperate for an almost Shakespeare-like character such as Demon. But strangely, I still liked it and I think with one or two more tweaks, you could really nail this role. You're welcome to try again via email, if you want.
