The narrator's voice can be whatever voice you think would suit the video best! I would just suggest trying to go with a more serious tone when recording lines.

    (Kurisumasu no atamadearu santakurōsu wa, maitoshi hitobito ga shiawase ni naru yō ni shimashita... Shikashi, kare wa min'na o yorokoba seru koto ga dekimasendeshita.)

    (The head of Christmas, Santa Claus, made sure that the people were happy every year... but he couldn't please everyone.)
