ELLIAN sits on the bridge watching the field through the window. She briefly looks to the Flight Commander, YASA KAPU.
ELLIAN ZAHRA
Dispatch a squadron. Make it rubble, so we can easily retrieve her.YASA KAPU
Yes, sir. Right away.YASA issues command to deploy a single TIE Fighter squadron. ELLIAN turns to face Captain EDMUND MAYFIELD (human male, late thirties).
ELLIAN ZAHRA
Captain, you have the bridge.EDMUND MAYFIELD
Sir, I do not believe it’s prudent for
you to go down there by yourself.ELLIAN ZAHRA
Duly noted.EDMUND MAYFIELD
But sir—ELLIAN looks at her Captain’s eyes. They tell him everything.
EDMUND MAYFIELD
(beat)
Yes, sir.ELLIAN ZAHRA
(to Yasa)
Get my shuttle ready.YASA KAPU
As you command, sir.ELLIAN moves to exit the bridge and a sleuth of soldiers follow her out.
