His absolute adherence to chivalry puts him at extreme odds with Archer, whose own method of fighting is incompatible with Blackmore's ideals.”
Director’s Notes: Dan wants to believe he is doing this for chivalry and his country, but rather he is actually being selfish. Hoping to steal the wish to bring back his dead wife. He is hiding his real motivations under a layer of false pride. He is however aware that he is lying to himself.
