Let's Dub Fate Extra
arvil143 for Dan Blackmore
(From the Type Moon wiki) “The Master of Archer, an elderly soldier who was knighted by the Queen of England and well-trusted as her confidante even after he retired from the military. In the past, he was known as a master sniper and was extremely pious. His absolute adherence to chivalry puts him at extreme odds with Archer, whose own method of fighting is incompatible with Blackmore's ideals.”
Director’s Notes: Dan wants to believe he is doing this for chivalry and his country, but rather he is actually being selfish. Hoping to steal the wish to bring back his dead wife. He is hiding his real motivations under a layer of false pride. He is however aware that he is lying to himself.
Voice Type: Mid-low - Low
You’re green. Whatever you may think, you lack experience. That you have let your opponent’s appearance shake your resolve is proof enough.
No more acting on your own like the first round. Winning battles is meaningless if we lose the war. Do you understand me? I will not tolerate your insubordination a second time.
(Angry, but not yelling) Leave this place at once. The gates of Heaven will remain closed to the unbeliever. It appears in your haste to learn how to fight, you forgot to learn dignity and respect.
So I decided to give a few of the roles on here a try. Admittedly I'm not super familiar with this series, hopefully the voices I gave the characters are not too terribly off. This one specifically is the one I'm probably least confident in, primarily because of the not knowing quite whether or not the voice fits his age all that well. As with any of my auditions, any and all critiques and criticisms are welcomed. Curious to hear opinions. :)
Hey there! Co-Director here. All in all your auditions were impressive. I think my only feedback would be a more "across the board" thing. Sometimes you rush through the lines a bit too fast (Robin Hood) and sometimes a little too slow (Vlad). Just work a bit more on your pacing.
Ah, ok. Thank you for the feed back. I'll try to work on that in the future.
