However, he is empathetic, and can tell when he's gone too far.

[Dupree slowly approaches him from behind. He taps him on the shoulder. Sid yelps; he turns to Dupree.]
Dupree: Jesus, calm down will you?
[He squints.]
Dupree: You been crying or something?
Sid: No- Nope. Got something in my eye. That's it.
Dupree: Look man, I'm sorry about your weird journal thing. Seriously. You can stop acting mad and we can forget this ever happened.
[Sid turns back to his bike, rolling his eyes.]
Dupree: Hey, if you hadn't started talking shit, this wouldn't have happened, alright?
Dupree: I already said I was sorry, alright? Can we move on?
Sid: God, what the hell is your problem? You know what? I am so, so sick of your shit, Dupree. Why don't you just mind your damn business and leave me the fuck alone?
Dupree: What the hell did you just say to me?
