ToniVA for Tails
Sonic's loyal buddy from the very start, Tails is an eight year old fox who loves to tinker and invent. A literal child genius, he acts mature for his age, accompanying his speedy friend as the straight man in most cases. Tails has his own plane, workshop, and home where he builds and tinkers. He has even been able to stand on his own against his intellectual enemy, Dr. Eggman.
For his voice, I'm open to any interpretation, but I prefer the slants these VA provide: Kate Higgins and Colleen O'Shaughnessey
(Encouraging) Don't worry, Amy! We've beaten Eggman countless times before! We can do it again!
(Sad) I...I'm sorry, Sonic. I-I wasn't able to get the data in time.
(Building up to frustration) Maybe if I changed the wires...but then the power won't be carried in the current very well...maybe I can try altering the...no, that won't work either! Ugggghh, this is hopeless!
Hello! Your Tails voice is very good. My only critique is of your clarity of speech. You keep slurring in several parts of the audition, and some of your words jumble together. I expect my VAs to train and warmup before any audition, and to not fumble on their words. I suggest using tongue twisters and reading articles with a cork in your mouth to work on your clarity of speech. Rest assured, you have plenty of time to audition again if you choose to do so!
Thank you so much for the extremely helpful feedback! I completely understand what you mean, that has always been something I do tend to struggle with when voicing Tails. I appreciate the advice and will work on this when I can, it really helped for audiobooks so must help with character work! No problem and don't worry this was good practice, i'm sure many others can nail this!
