Whilst I will accept any accent, I have a high preference that their accent be either English, French, or American (east coast especially preferred). I do like/prefer the idea of them having a deeper range.

Charlie experienced some serious trauma that left them mute and orphaned, throwing them into the streets and thus being a prime target for the "Houses." They are generally pretty apathetic (and probably sassy) around those they don't feel comfortable around, but they can get very giddy and friendly when excited or around those they share a close bond with.

Though Charlie is mute, they do have some speaking lines and their internal thoughts and translation of their sign language will be voiced.

They were 24 years old and was taken in by the "Houses" at the age of 8.

It is never said in the actual game, aside from narration referring to Charlie with they/them pronouns, Charlie is technically nonbinary (though they are fine with any pronouns), but for lack of better language at the time and such, most of the other characters still refer to Charlie with she/her pronouns.

Technically, this character has been used in another project and has a voice actor if you want to hear an idea of what I'd be looking for (though no one should be trying to replicate the exact VA, just have an idea of what I was leaning toward in the past): https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=O0xK4jvLY4Q

  • (sweet and gentle) "Sounds like it could be fun. I’ll put something together in the morning."

(narration) "The people I saw in the basement that night were some of the children who had simply seemed to have left the manor when they were old enough. Or those who we thought passed away from illness or injury. But that night, I found out the truth of all of our fates. Yet I couldn’t bring myself to tell the other children, mainly out of fear that it would worsen things for everyone."

  • (groggy from waking up by unsettling noises) "What is that noise? Is one of the other girls up and walking around?"

    (startled surprise) "H-Heidi?!"

(scared concern) "I saw Heidi. She was in my room..."

  • These following are actually said with their own voice, so if you make it a little more fragile or hoarse, that would be a nice touch

(cold/stern) "How much will it hurt you if I smashed this?"

"I believe mental and physical pain are on their own playing fields, but I can guarantee it'll hurt a lot. How much do you think it hurt when you let them cut me to pieces bit-by-bit? Or how much it hurt for that child you plucked the eye out of? How much would it hurt you?"

You have a sweet voice, but I don't think it's quite what I'm looking for with Charlie. Thank you for your audition, by the way!
