Shu is loud and outgoing. He's best friends with Ishikawa. He likes to play pranks on people, and tends to be the one starting the games or activities done by the group. Seemingly destined to never have a girlfriend, Shu spends a lot of his time bemoaning this fact. It is mentioned that if Shu would just be quiet sometimes, there would probably be a lot more girls interested in him. But Shu replies that if one were to take away his energeticness, what would be left?

Shu has an unbelievably energetic, slightly raspy, high-pitched voice. When he’s not with his friends, he’s shown to have a much more bored and lower tone.
